All:

As many know by now, I have a Creek Evolution 50A integrated amp, a Cambridge phono stage, and PS Audio NuWave Dac...

Would swapping these out for their Creek internal counterparts not be a good move sonically? As I feel the Creek is in fact the strongest component in my system, I can see several benefits of this serious decision:

1. Zero interconnects! No cables to worry about, zero interference and zero signal degradation!
2. Matching components; system synergy
3. Creek quality (maybe head to head with PS Audio or even slightly inferior though)
4. Reduced remote control clutter/enhanced system interface and useability
5. Slight power savings with one less power supply with its caps and one less wall wart.

Disadvantages:

1. Can't pick and choose different tonal flavours; selling myself to Creek for everything.
2. Can't individually tune components; as they are now all internal circuit boards.

While there are more Pro's; and I like especially the system synergy and no interconnects.. I will be losing the ability to tune the components individually...

Anyone have experience with their gear? I am looking for general experience.. I know other brands like Naim, NAD, and many others offer this option.

Kind Regards,

Ron

I do not think that the Creek phono stage is very good. You are better off with a separate one IMO.

I recommend the Musical Fidelity V90 LPS phono stage; I think you will find it is better than the Cambridge.

I actually ordered a Vincent PHO-8!?? It was recommended on a different thread and has gotten rave reviews. It also has a separately housed power supply.. pretty cool.. and the recent price drop from $400 to $300 was enough to get it!

I appreciate the vote against the Creek as that puts my mind a little more at ease over ordering the Vincent..

I am going to try the Ruby DAC; however...it is also on its way.... and it does also give me an FM Digital Receiver.

Best Regards,

Ron
