Oooooo, I like those S4's. (cherry, Birdseye, or black?) Good choice. I think the NAD is a nice piece of equipment as well. A fortunate thing about those Paradigms is that they'll be able to reward you for an investment in more sophisticated amplification later on, if you're so inclined. As for CD players, I recommend auditioning either of Rega's excellent top-loaders, depending on how much you'd like to spend on your source.
Birdseye. It was a choice between the S4's and Amphion Argon. Reading between the lines do you think I am doing myself a disservice with the NAD would I be better to spend a few extra bucks on a creek 5350. Thanks again for your input. The speakers are a done deal but everything else is in play.
I wouldn't say that the C372 is under-qualified per se, just that the Signatures are truly outstanding. Do a lot of listening and choose the amplifier you like best, with the understanding that the S4's are allowing you to hear what each component is capable of. I'm a big NAD fan (C525BEE CD player and 4020A tuner), so I would never dissuade you from purchasing their gear. It's very musical. Additionally, NAD and Paradigm pair very well together, and synergy is always an important thing to consider.
Between the two manufacturers I typically find NAD more musical, but this is just me.
You've made some great choices!
Hi Chris,
What options are a must (ie; tone controls, # of speaker outputs, etc), and what type of music do you listen to?

Cambridge Audio integrated amps are worth looking into as well.
From the buzz in the Internet all you need for a CD is a Sony Playstation One SCPH-1001 off of eBay.
