It's simply a matter of connecting your phono preamp to the schiit instead of the Lepai. Or, you could add a switching box that would allow you to simply switch from the schiit to the lepai to control where the signal is being sent. Flip one way and your headphones are active. Flip the other way and your speakers are active. Each being driven by their own amp...schiit or lepai.

He needs one with two outputs and a single (or more) inputs. That way he can use each amp to drive each component, otherwise he will be diconnecting and reconnecting his phono pre to each amp each time he decides to use speakers or cans.
The switch should work I think. I was looking at rca splitters but I think I'm going to lose sound quality
Like I said, I'm more on the music knowledge / history side of things, not the science of sound or even skilled electrically. I bought my table from turntable lab in NYC... I'm going to give them a call tomorrow. Thanks for the replies!!
If the unit is passive and just a switch, are there cheaper ones that are recommended? $60 is a bit pricey to not really do anything.
Many of us have spent thousands of dollars on equipment to do just that.........absolutely nothing.
In fact, the definition of the perfect component to most of us is one that neither adds nor subtracts anything from the source (music).
Based on this philosophy, $60 is an absolute, downright bargain.
