The CD input is a CD direct input buffer circuit with HDAM-SA2; that's the input he was referring to. The other inputs are Phono, two Record/Monitor, and two auxillary.

Thanks for your kind words , Yes this set can kick some serious ass when I want her to , Honestly though I dont crank her up too often most of the tyme she runs at mid to low mid vol ah the joys of condo life , But I will say that at these moderate levels its clean clear and the detail of music at low levels is outstanding , You know I thought I had it before with just the Arcam and Rotel but when a pal came over with the remasterd Beatles set I said somthing is missing here, He said yeah 2 channel if they had wanted you to listen to it in 5.1 they would have made it that way, Get With the Game. So we went out to hear some new intregated amps , Listend to Krell nice but no big thrill , Bryston very nice bass reproduction was very good but the price , Roksan Casp ok as well as Cambridge but none relly got me mojo going. To the last two on my list the Sim Moon, Now here was a really good sounding deck no dramatic changes in the music, nor should there be, bass repro was great and the detail of the music was amazing at all vol levels , However when I asked about what I was relly hearing the salesguy said, Well we have it running through the moon cd player with onboard dac and the cabels are all Norst, the most expensive ones one could buy, certainly not what I have at home, And this sound is atainable for a few more dollars hummm No sale , So now we have the Marantz Ki Pearl , Telling the dealer what I have now he set up the same system for the demo, Excatly the same, Now I getting somewhere , Listening to him telling me about this int amp what it does all the features and tech stuff the connectablity options so on and so, Now hearing them through a set of 603s with no fancy cales or dac just it an Arcam cd and my speakers , I stayed in the sound room till the store was closed and then some , The cds I played Abbey Road , Lyle Lovit , Mark Knoppler ,Alison Krauss+Union Station ,ELP , Eagles , Frank Zappa, and a Chesky analog recording of Beethovnes symphony no 9 in D minor . This amp got me mojo in every way, A big plus is the bi amp switching, drop dead finish, full fuction remote that one could use as a weapon, and a realitstic price , Not cheap but got the store demo at a killer value, Ahh finaly got my stereo back and lovin it .
