I'm no digital expert but I was puzzled by your remark "ASUS.......Xonar Essence ST [250ps Jitter]
<--The worst sound card EVER!! sounds extremely colored (like a vinyl)
and is very muddy."
What kind of vinyl have you been listening to I wonder?
From my limited and often painful experience with digital sources I've come to avoid all DAC's and go with well executed CD players. I run a Meridian 808.2. The only player I've heard that's it's equal is the Moon Audio 750D. This uses a proprietary jitter reduction circuitry running on eight ESS Sabre32 Hyperstream DAC chips per channel. I don't think you'll find a stand alone DAC to equal what that achieves - a single picosecond of jitter.. I'm told the Scarlatti three box system is better though but I've yet to hear it.
Sorry that's not really answering your question but someone will be along soon to sort your bits out.
Anyhow, welcome to the forum.

It seems like these questions are for the sound card manufacturer and marketing support for sale of the product.

Hi. Thanks for the response. I really don't like colorations to my music especially a vinyl like.
Imagine that you are recording 10 layered ambient track to a vinyl and then you listen to the outcome. The ambience and the 3D image are get lost in the distortions and and the low frequancies boost that the vinyl provides. I am a fan of a mastering level equipment that gives 0 additional colorations to the music .
I also began to remaster and currently in the learning process of it (And I don't mean by remastering to reise the loudness. I HATE the loudness war).

And about the jitter nothing beats the Antelope Isochrone 10M Clock. The 10M has much less then 1ps of jitter. I can't even imagine how much it will reveal the background layers of the music (especially their accuracy).
--> Antelope Isochrone 10M (can't found the jitter specs).

I am waiting to your answers and responses on my questions.
I really need your advices, answers and comments (I am VERY afraid to buy a shi**y DAC+Clock again).
Thanks in advance.
