new age for audiophiles

Well...no one has said that this forum *isn't for New Age music, so I'll post my question here:

I'm putting together a sampler CD that, imho, is an 'audiophile showcase' of New Age goodies. IOW, I'm interested in tracks that both sound good AND show off the equipment....

I realize that this is an extremely subjective area, especially as so much of New Age music is generated electronically as opposed to acoustically.

Even so, here are a few that I have slated so far:

Ray Lynch: The Oh of Pleasure
Peter Davison: Turn to dust
Ginkgo Garden: Song from the treetop
Don Harriss: Vanishing Point
Kitaro: Milky Way

I'd love to know if these selections inspire anyone here in terms of offering other suggestions that would belong on such a CD.

THANKS!!

TM

thanks for your post. I've deleted your multiple posts and just left one in the Universal Pulse (since New Age music can come in any shape or form). This way we dont have duplicate posts.

Thank you. I hope I'm not the

Thank you.

I hope I'm not the only new age aficionado here...

OTOH, given time some may have some suggestions as to other forums that may possibly yield more feedback on the question. The difficulty, of course, is finding those who not only enjoy this genre of music but also those who consider themselves to be audiophiles.

happy holidays.
