Why don't the other states demand the same concessions that Nebraska received last night? BTW, I'm not too happy about having to pay for a state I don't reside in. Just add Nebraska to the list along side General Motors.

And other blue basket case socialist states that refuse to live within their means...No, I cannot blame Nebraska or Nelson...after all, if a despot showed up at your front door and offered vast goodies and all you had to do was pretend a bad bill was good, well I suspect most folk could be bought.

The problem is not with the folk being bought but with the folk doing the buying, Reid, Harkin, Dodd, et al.

I bet Landrue is pissed she sold her soul for so little.

As I type their 'leadership' is on the tube lying about the mess. Reid promises folk will get a peak at it in a couple of hours. The CBO does not seem to have costed it, or at least the scheme's costs are not being released. No word on what Nelson's price was.

Now republicans can only slow the mess and promise to dismantle it next year when they are in the majority.

Good thing, since the present insurance-company run medical industry that pushes doctors out of business and costs us approximately twice as much as the rest of the first world per patient, much of which goes to administration costs and insurance profits, also results in us having one of the lowest average life spans in the first world.

You are referred to this month's National Geographic for some solid evidence on just how bad it is in the USA.

Stats on life expectancy are bogus...some countries do not consider accidental and violent deaths in their stats, others sort count 'birth' only after a period...we count it all. In addition countries health stats vary as to accuracy, even in the EU.

Hahahahahahahahaha when the evidence is against you, you always can make up some kind of silly excuse...

You really have to support your delusions, don't you?

Yeah, whatever you say...meanwhile in the real world the CBO letter is out...They claim $130 Billion in savings BUT, they assume at least $189 billion in Medicare cuts which no one really expects and they do not count the medicare doctor fix which is over $200 billion so the actual cost is over a minus $259 billion...

Next November will be a bloodbath for the dems.

JJ do you pay any income tax at all? You seem to come from a line of people that get rebates and credits every year.

If you think that's something, check out Idaho - it's a socialist state!

Tax Foundation data...

Federal Tax Burdens and Expenditures:

Idaho is a Beneficiary State.
Idaho taxpayers receive more federal funding per dollar of federal taxes paid than the average state.

Per dollar of Federal tax collected in 2005, Idaho citizens received approximately $1.21 in the way of federal spending. This ranks the state 20th highest nationally and represents a slight rise from 1995 when Idaho received $1.14 per dollar of taxes in federal spending (then ranked 20th highest). Neighboring states and the amount of federal spending they received per dollar of federal taxes paid were: Washington ($0.88), Oregon ($0.93), Nevada ($0.65), Utah ($1.07), Wyoming ($1.11), and Montana ($1.47).

_____________

Must be why KIMV moved there - to suck at the teat of the rest of the country. Damn welfare state. Idaho is a net parasite state.

In general, the red states tend to suck revenue, making them socialist beneficiaries of the federal tax system - they get to play teabag games instead of working, I guess.

You can check each state's status here: Are you a parasite, or contributor?

I think I just figured it out. Everybody thinks as humans we should be treated like we treat our pets. I know a veterinarian that got out of caring for small animals because he got sick and tired of watching people take care of their pets better than their own children. BTW, this particular vet owns Mine that Bird. And that is no shit. Get it?

his owners, Mark Allen and Dr. Leonard Blach, are longtime buddies who decided to go in together on a few horses, including Mine That Bird. It may be no coincidence that both men live in Roswell, N.M., a place where UFOs are said to prowl and the supernatural is considered commonplace.

The devil may hare....
