I have come across a pair of JBL LX44 speakers and have no amp or means to connect them to my PC, and am trying to find the best way to do this for....around 100 dollars. I have no real experience with this stuff so I do not know if an amp would be my best bet or if I should just buy a reciever. Any info is appreciated.
You are not going to be able to buy too much that is suitable to drive those speakers for 100 bucks unless you shop around for a used unit and take a chance on that.
Amazon does have the Sherwood RX-4109 Stereo Receiver for only $99. That might be the best bet for a $100 budget.
To connect the PC to that amplifier you need a cable with 3.5mm stereo plug on one end and two RCA plugs on the other end; Amazon has them for 5 bucks.
