need advice on Wadia iTransport

This question arises from a review on a Wadia iTransport I read a few months ago (maybe in Sterophile but can't remember) and the jist of what was stated was that the Wadia was connected to the digital input on the cd player so that a almost direct comparison could be made between the cd's sound and the Wadia. In my mind they would be using the dacs in the cd player?? I have a Rega Saturn so is this possible?

"In my mind they would be

"In my mind they would be using the dacs in the cd player??" Yes, correct.
But - looks like the Rega Saturn unfortunately does not have a digital input.

Wadia iTransport

Thanks, BillB! I could have sworn I saw one but it's been awhile since I hooked up some new ICs.

worth looking again

Worth looking at your inputs again. I quickly checked the Rega website for that player and it appeared that a digital input was lacking, but your actual unit would be the real reality.
