Need Advice!

HI Guys!

To be short, I am working in a University project about a revolutionary audio sound expansion system (sound decoder). If you could spend 1 minute answering 2 small questions I would be so grateful!!!

1. Do you think there is a sound decoder technology in the market over the others?

  • Audyssey
  • Dolby
  • Dts
  • SRS
  • Other

2. Do you know any study report where users rate the sound quality among different devices and environments?

If that goes forward be sure we will share it in the forum!

Thank you so much!!!!

Kind Regards,

Paul

1.  You are comparing apples

1.  You are comparing apples and bananas.  These devices have different purposes and are not competitive.

2.  Too vague.  Are you looking for statistically-supported large group studies or surveys?  Have you scanned the AES archives?  Are you interested in performance sites or listening environments?

Kal

Hi Kal, Thanks for the

Hi Kal,

Thanks for the reply.

But, as far I know Dolby, dts, SRS and Audyssey are producers of sound technologies, and they compete in many sectors and devices...(e.g. mobile phones sound) right?

For me any kind of statistically-supported large group studies would be awesome. And I am mainly interested in audio quality (subjective or objective) for any kind of devices (mobile phones, TV, Car audio, PC's...). I have been skimming the web and journals and I Have got some studies but non of them are very broad and actual.

I have checked AES library, but I have to get the membership, I will try to get funds for it.

Thanks again.

BR,

Pau
