Dup,

Did you have a dedicated line run to your house just to power the amps? 4800 watts would set a house on fire!

No it won't. It doesn't use 4800W continuous, it's there when needed. My electric stove is much more power than that, 40A 220 ckt, and those burners get red hot! 4 mono amps an assorted stuff around it on 3 15A ckts, that's fine. When cranked about 18A or more total on some deep bass loud stuff, the Furman units have LED read outs for current and voltage. Everything goes through teh 3 furmans from teh first set of Furman PF units which go to teh 3 AC ckts. My electric water heater is also like watts than this at like 4500 for each elemnet, only one is on at a time in any electric water heater, 30A ckt 220. That's why I recently have an updated service panel a 200A so I had more spaces available, teh old 150A panel was full. The new panel does have much larger bush bars, over teh old 1977 150A panel, amazing how just to the next level up 150 to 200 amp panel, the bus is much much larger, I do notice now that when teh AC kicks on in teh summer, no dip in teh lights like before. The voltages don't drop as much either on teh audio readouts, when it was on a sharred ckts with otehr stuff. And this is using non audio grade standard Leviton 10/ like $3 contractor box of wall devices, since there is no sound in electrical wiring devices. And I don't need a cord across teh floor to get to a different ckt anymore, the outlets are all in the same room 3 ckts. The real heavy duty stuff in live events are on 220V 30A ckts, Checkout what this place uses 32,000W off of 2 100A panels www.starlandballroom.com find where they talk about there sound system, of course it's a much larger place, but i think I beat em, on w/sq foot, thus I ain't using 4800W, but when teh bass goes deeeep, and teh guitar wails, it's crystal clear, lifelike, watts, drivers, there is no substitute. Bill D. says it best like fanning yourlsef with a guitar pick when you make some 6" woofer try to move air at 40Hz....

Again I am seeing testing done to make a point about a single piece of a component that is used as just one part of a multiple component system. The interaction of all of the components of a system needs to taken into account to have any real meaning. We don't listen to any one component, but to an interaction of a complex system of components.
