Cool!
Aren't they cool looking in a neat retro way?
The 701's take a bit of current to drive but you should be fine with your new amp. You'll be amazed at the improvement over listening directly to the 'pod.
Enjoy!
I tried playing them through the headphone jack on my Harman Kardon CDR-26 and it was slightly better, but still strained and a bit confined. The amp I bought is a hybrid with a tube front end I'm hoping it makes a big difference. Is it really true what they have been saying about a 200-300 breakin period?
At least 300 hours was my experience. They sound quite different at that point.
Your right Elk the retro design is wonderful. They should look great in their stand next to my tube headphone amp. It seems when I move my head I do get some creeking noises from the band mechanism. Will this get better with time?
