Music Hall MMF 5 vs 5.1 turntable

I gather the Music Hall MMF 5.1 is a newer version of the MMF 5. Both are available new at a cost differential ranging from $100 to $170 more for the 5.1 with the same Goldring G1012 cartridge.

I've googled, but I can't find an answer... Can anyone tell me what the differences are between these two models?

I believe it's mostly the tonearm. The 5.1 has a carbon-fiber tonearm that has trickled down from the MMF7. I haven't heard it (yet), but I've read some great things about that tonearm.

Exactamundo!

Also, I think the 5.1 has a different platter and RCA connectors.

Nice arm...

Has anyone heard both versions and can speak to their impressions of the differences?
