Mixing kef front speakers with alternative brand central speaker

Hi, I googled around about mixing brands between the front and center channel in a 5.1 HT setup (for movies) and found a lot of opinions.

I have a set of kef reference front speakers and I need a new speaker for the central channel. However, good or bad it is, I am not ready to spend that amount of money to get the kef central from the reference line and I am looking for other options.

Do you have an idea/experience of other brands which will match the timbre of the KEF reference speakers (budget is between 300-400 EUR)?

Regards,

Aty

Why another brand?  Given

Why another brand?  Given KEFs UNI-Q technology, only another KEF is likely to match well but it does not have to be from the Reference line.

Hi Kal, thank you for

Hi Kal, thank you for answering my question. That's a good point.

So, considering the same brand (Kef) but different line, which one will better match the 207/2?

Q600c?

R600c?

Any idea or expericence will be very much appreciated.

Thank you very much,

Aty

Hi all, just wanted to share

Hi all,

just wanted to share with you what I heared from the kef customer service. In respect that the 202/2 is out of budget for a give person, the Q600c should already be a good match for 207/2, but the R600c will be an even better match if the budget is enough.

That's all. Thx a lot to everybody.

Regards,

Athos

Speakers

Either the Q200c or the Q600c should work fine.
