I am sure that Foobar2000 does not filter out lower frequency sound than 50Hz.

Being "digital" media players, I would expect them to have the same or very similar audio quality. However this is not the case. I experience vastly different sound quality between them. Sound quality differences can be keenly noticed if you play higher definition tracks.
 

VLC is NOT malware.

My understand of media players is that WMP, iTunes and WinDVD are all terrible whereas Foobar2000 and VLC are two of the very best players available and they are completely FREE!
