Great review and really sleek looking design, author is spot on about the competition that exists at this price level and the outstanding level of performance now being offered.  While I lament the loss of physical media the performance improvement we are getting now for our dollar was unheard of 10 years ago and is most welcome.

Do you think a decent power conditioner would do the same job of cleaning up the sound as the Palmer power station did?

Thanks, I suppose I`ll have to give it a try and see for myself. I bought the Young as an upgrade to my Halide dac HD so I could get into the 24/192 realm. 
I had 3 dacs on my wanted list for this upgrade, the NADM51 and Benchmark dac2 and I went with the Young per your review.
The Young has proven itself to be everything you described, and has brought a new level of musical enjoyment to me.
I have one other question if anyone can answer, what is your opinion/knowledge regarding RCA to XLR adapters?
The Young has only RCA outs and my sub/sat system has ony XLR inputs so I`m using a set of Cardas adapters and cant help but wonder if I`m defeating a purpose or losing a benefit somewheres with this set up.
