Hope you enjoy the record!
Tell me what you think.
Kurt did a gig in Charlottesville a few years ago, and I drove down to see him. Amazing musician, love how he uses the full range of his guitar so seemlessly. Track 3 is my favorite...the drummer kicks a funky beat that sounds like Q-Tip's "Vibrant Thing." Very solid album.
Track 3, "Fall", is killer
I guess I'll take this moment to make a correction -- although that rendition of "Fall" is based on the Miles Davis recording, the song is written by Wayne Shorter.
Full range of the guitar = what makes Kurt Rosenwinkel a boss.
He hits you from all angles. and he's also pretty cool when he turns on a distortion pedal.
