k81 dj's for gaming

Hi

after reading several revies and browsing your forums i decided on the k81's as i need  closed cans at a good price. (i used to have a 5.1 headset till i found out they were a waist of time)

i play battlefield 3 and use the cans for this only,

i have a soundblaster extreme music sound card.

my question is would i benifit from a desktop amp?

and what are the best setting to use for gunfire footstep placement ? (virtual surround sound)

YO

while i hate to direct you to another forum, i'm not sure if this is the best place for this question

but as an overall response, i can say you will benefit from having a headphone amp. transients will be sharpened, blacker backgrounds (less noise), and better dynamic response.

if you feel like this would help the gaming experience, go for it!
