oh, man.. i HATE jazz.
but...as a recording guy, I love the recording from a "TECHNICAL" standpoint.
the music sucks ass..the sound is great.
I respect the recording because of the good sound achieved with a purist technique(two neumann u47s into a tape machine)
JATP is for gynecologists to appreciate. All parts and details present for inspection, clean and ready for your approval.
On the other hand, JATP is NOT for people who simply love pussy or sex.
I get Ncdrawl's drift. JATP is crap, but good sounding crap.

JATP...Best sound of dishware in a recording since the purple vinyl edition of Live Grape.
You play nice or I'm gonna strap you to a chair and play all my opus 3 Lps back to back. I'm not sure anyone can take that.
