The implications for the bartenders and late night coffee shops are enromous....

FDA about to ban alcoholic beverages that contain caffeine.

Will the nanny state still allow bartenders to serve rum and Coke?

Irish Coffee?

Vodka and Red Bull?

Kalhua (at 4.85mg caffeine per 1.5 oz pour?)

How about somebody who is going out after last call and wants a coffee with his chili cheese omelette, but he/she has had a few?

_

Man, first San Francisco wants to ban Happy meals and cirumcisions, now this.

Eventually, we will go from being a nation to being a Carrie Nation....full of uncut abstinent vegans.

I say it's time we invent flavored No Doz effertabs! "Plop plop, fizz fizz, oh what a great buzz it is...."

I will backtrack to help you out:

FDA banning caffeine containing alcoholic beverages.

Suggest foiling that with a disssolvable caffeine tablet that people can put in their drinks.

Actually, I am decaffeinated, myself. My body is a temple. Only products of God's own invention....natural fermentation (and their distillates for me.) Life is stimulating enough - caffeine is not on the menu!

Right you are, sir!

I witnessed some very strange things happening in temples over the decades.

Even though an agnostic I can't restrain myself from reminding anyone who believes in a creator that this particular planet is blessed with hundreds of natural psychoactive substances that just happen to have molecular structures fitting precisely in lock and key fashion into their equivalent chemical receptors in the human brain.

Due to a cardiac condition, I'm banned from coffee, tea, cholocate and only allowed very small amounts of alcohol.
That leaves me with delta9-tetrahydrocannabinolic acid for relaxation, amusement and spiritual inspiration. I'm not complaining.
