how do i change stylus on music hall tracker cartridge?

hello everybody. i have the music hall mmf-2.2 TT and am going to change out the stylus that comes on the music hall tracker cartridge that comes with this TT with an upgraded stylus. was just wondering how the existing stylus on the music hall tracker cartridge is removed? it looks like it will slide straight out, is this correct? do i have to remove the cartridge from the tonearm before i remove the stylus? thanks, john.

My experience.....

....is it always easier to remove the cartridge.
This will also prevent accidental damage to the bearings in the tone arm.

JMHO YMMV

thanks wkhanna...

good to know that it's always easier to remove the cartridge. so, for the stylus part though, does the stylus pull straight out?

Contact....

....the manufacturer or retailer.
Either should be able to offer information on the correct process.

Also, you will need to re-align when re-installing the cart.
Let me know if you need assistance with the procedure.

In almost all cases, this is true.

Some cartridges come with a plastic stylus removal tool, because the force involved makes it hard do without damaging something.

Do you still have all the stuff that it came with? look for a removal tool.
