Ann Arbor has a pretty healthy used record market. The downside of the vinyl resurgence is that it's difficult to find inexpensive music, particularly jazz.
Art Dudley did a little spot on our local Record shop in Salem, MA about a year ago, and at the time the owner stated sales were also steadily climbing. I talked to the owner again a month ago and he said sales were still good. They still have mostly used, but about 6 months ago I noticed they started carrying the Analogue Productions 180 gram new stuff- a very good sign IMO.
we had several good record/cd stores in the cincinnati area until recently. both carried used and new LPs and new and used cds. both are now gone. this area of the country is often one of the last to catch on to any trends, so when LP sales pick up here, we will know it is for real.

I went in to the local used/new vinyl store a few weeks ago here in Kansas City and he had a bunch of Springsteen's Magic. I found stuff I wanted more so I passed. About a week later a friend called from the store and asked if I wanted anything. I told him Magic and he discovered they were all gone....
