Hello, and thanks for joining the forum. You bring up an interesting question.

Our five dealer rule is in place to ensure that the products we review are widely available, and I know that we've often covered the brands you've mentioned. So I'm curious about what components you own, specifically. Would you please let us know?

Thanks again.

I think one reason most equipment has not been reviewed is the amount of equimpent available. Stereophile's 2008 equipment directory lists over 5,000 items. If the magazine reviews ten new components per month, that's 120 a year, and if models change every few years... See my point?

While a reviewer might request a specific model for review often times, due to the limitations of review space vs available gear, the manufacturer/distributor will decide which models they want reviewed.

Maybe you should write to the manufacturers of the lines you own to let them know they're not providing the gear you're purchasing.

Since AD did the review of the Rega P1, I would love for him to cover the Technics 1200 TT. I think the comparison would be appropriate.

I also wonder why B and W is not reviewed more? Have there not been more Wilson reviews than B and W? The breadth of their product line amazes me. I have never owned the brand, but my next pair just might be B and W. I am seriously thinking about retiring my AR 58's...to use at school.

The comment is right...there is just too much gear to be reviewed. Someone has to be left out.

I use a McIntosh 6300 integrated - the baby of the line and likely the one many people could afford at around $3K

Speakers are B&W 704 - the smaller 705s were reviewed but not these.

Rega P5 Great review here - I went out and bought one (see why reviews are important)

To be fair this mag does a great job generally and the recommended components list is really helpful.

Still - have not seen a budget cart shoot out in a while or budget integrateds etc.

A systems feature at certain price points might help too.
