I don't think the Atoll(a good player) is in the same Class as the Cary. Listen to the CD only Ayre CX7E, the new Creek Dynasty CD, The Cairn 24/192 upsampler, The Naim, and the modded Jolida JD100 from Underwoodhifi. The Quad just got a good review from "Phile". I am guessing you are looking $3K and under? If you like your transport you should be looking at the Benchmark, Grace, Lucid, and Apogee DACs. There are many good $1K choices which also include SACD if you choose.
