Help! Bust Image 4T speaker

I've just come into possession of a beautiful pair of PSB Image 4T speakers. Its a long story but they were shipped via UPS Ground in a pretty sketchily packed box and, surprise surprise, I now have a problem.

On one of the speakers, the mid-range speaker seems to be damaged. The sound from that one mid-range speaker is very bad. I guess I have to replace it or get it fixed. The problem is that I don't really know where to start on this project: where to look, what to expect to pay, etc.

I would greatly appreciate any help.

Best,

Those drivers aren't particularly expensive to replace. I see them offered for sale on ebay fairly often and at give away prices.

You can purchase replacement drivers from PSB or through a PSB dealer. If they aren't under any warranty or if they weren't obviously damaged during shipping and you didn't insure against shipping damage then either look for a driver on ebay, contact PSB or a PSB dealer.

Drivers are very easy to replace, but make sure that the wiring to the drivers and the binding posts haven't come loose before spending any money on a new driver. It's possible that there is a problem with the crossover network, but that's far less likely.
