I don't know HDtracks from Adam, and your experience with them doesn't sound very smooth, but I gotta point out this last line of yours:
Loyalty easily assigned is easily lost, it seems
Hi Rivcuban,
Sorry about your bad experience with HDTracks, but I've made a few purchases there and have nothing but good to say about the usability of their web site as well as the fabulous sound of the music they sell. I also used a 15% discount on my first purchase, and it was immediately applied. Their hi-rez recordings are easily among the best I've heard.
I've had plenty of good experiences with those guys, though at times the software is a bit buggy. The quality however is excellent. I wouldn't get some up in arms over one lost coupon- and just because they said it expired doesn't make them greedy in my book.
Yes, I have to say that their flac. recordings are excellent. I abhor MP3 (etc.) for the crappy quality.
It's not the 15% that I'm griping about...it's the principle of the matter. I see their ad and I sign up on their website. They immediately sent me a 15% off promotional code via e-mail (with no expiration date mentioned). Two days later I go to purchase an album and the code doesn't work. I sent them an e-mail and they sent me one back saying the code is expired. It is a classic case of bait & switch. Any good business person would of sent me a new promotional code. It left a bad taste in my mouth.
Sorry you had a bad customer service experience with them. They have been fine with me. The music is great though!
