getting a new system want opinions and advice

I'm upgrading from my 5.1 paradigm mini monitor/titan system
I'm sparring no expense but i do want my best bang for my buck
I'm building a whole new system for my primary setup new speakers, reviver, amps, components and cables.
I wanted some opinions on speakers mostly and amps/receivers
I'm not sure exactly what i want except i know i want a separates system with a dac, all balanced xlr cables
Right now I'm leaning toward some paradigm speakers and emotiva gear
I mostly listen to metal some rock and other stuff too and its mostly played through my laptop all flac files will be also alot of cd listening maybe interested in vinyl in the future but just not for now.
I'm only leaning towards paradigm because they are the only good speakers I've owned by all means recommend what you like and think would be better.

for amps...

i think you're right in considering emotiva. i own two UPA 1s, and i like them alot, a great bang for the buck. i noticed the emotiva website isn't selling the UPA 1s anymore, but i suspect they'll be back soon.so if i went that route i'd buy an emotiva USP 1 preamp and two UPA 1 mono blocks. for speakers i might also try the polk audio rti a9. they're $1500 a pair, but i've never heard them so i can't really say. good luck. people seam to say good things about the oppo bdp 95 too for a $1000 cd player.

The polks are certainly

The polks are certainly cheaper but I almost refuse to buy any electronics you can buy from best buy I was thinking about about focal not sure how they compare to paradigm or paradigm thinking either signature s8 towers or maybe the monitor line although I'm open to any suggestions i was also looking at b&w speakers and I'm really interested in the integra dtr-80.3 reviver
