and check out the US version of the Marantz, the PM5003 for $450.  It will accomodate your vinyl urge, but think about spending a little more for the Music Hall MMF-2.2LE.  For loudspeakers, I will always recommend the PSB Image B25 in closeout for $320/pair until they are gone with the PSB SP-25i stands for $80/pair.

Thanks Jackfish!

I can't really find the differences between the Marantz 6003 and the 5003, other than some reviews on the 5003 not being as good as the ones for the 6 line. What do you think? Is it really the same, just American market oriented?

Those PSB Speakers look like a great option, and CHEAP! Thanks for the tip, I'll definitely audition them asap.

The Music Hall TT...Why would you say the MH is better than the Pro-ject? Again, I'm not a connoisseur, I'm just going off by reviews I've read.

are essentially the same turntable except I believe the Music Hall has VTA and a better cartridge.
