I have not seen or heard the new Gallo Classico series. but I'm glad you brought them up. I've heard some Gallo round speakers in the past, but was't too interested in them. I was not aware they were now making something a little more conventional.

I've just started looking for a pair of speakers to replace my Epos M12.2's. The Gallo CL-4 looks interesting, at least on paper. The sensitivity and power handling specs are near what I'm looking for, and the direct buy price leaves room for the new amp I have in mind to go with new speakers.

The Gallo Classico's also raise a lot of questions in my mind. The information I can find seems short on design and performance details, and long on marketing speak. I am planning a trip to RAMF this fall, where I can audition a lot of different speakers. I'm guessing Gallo will be there. I've seen Gallo speakers at RMAF in the past. There is also a dealer listed near my location, so I might check them out.

I'm currently putting together a list of speakers to consider, and PSB Synchrony one is a possibility. I see that you have PSB Imge T6. I'm looking for increased dynamics, flatter overall frequency response, and a smoother tweeter than I have now with the Epos M12.2, and I'm still wide open at this point to anything in my price range (up to $4,000 or so).

commsysman, I think I read on another forum that you've ordered the CL-3's? If that's correct, it would be great to get your impression of them once you've had a listen.

I got the Gallo CL-3 speakers a bit over a week ago, and have about 75 hours on them now.

I am simply amazed at the sound quality of these speakers; they are excellent!

I could listen to the Image T6 speakers all day and never hear anything I didn't like, but these speakers are much more revealing and dynamic at all frequencies.

Not only are the dynamics and bass unbelievable for their size, they sound as transparent and detailed as my Vandersteen 3A speakers at my other home! Not bad for one-third the price and one-third the size!!!

I have listened to many of the KEF, Paradigm, and Vienna Acoustics speakers in the $2000-4000 range, and these are better in every respect in my opinion.

I think that these speakers are an engineering tour de force and an amazing bargain.

You have made some impressive, and valuable comparisons. I really need to audition a pair ASAP.

I heard the CL-4 a couple weeks ago along side Vandersteen 3Aand B&Ws (don't remeber the model but they were the diamond models).

Very impressive sound! Much too large for my room, though...too much bottom end. The CL-2 would do me well.
