PSE&G power utility must love my system, sucking some current, billing me for it!!...hmmm, I wonder if I can add some power factor correction units (make it at least 90% or higher, considered HPF, anything less is LOW PF at the inputs to correct for what I assume is highly inductive loads ( LARGE AC line transformers in amps)...which makes for a difference in true power versus apparent power, effecting how the meter reads the energy I am using....I think I have another QUEST!!!
Carl powers his system from three AC circuits, each feeding a Furman AC conditioner. The right-hand LED displays show the current drawn from the wall. Carl plays his music loud -- at one point on Jeff's and my auditioning to his system, the Furmans' indicated that 18 amps was being drawn from the wall. It's a good thing the 4 Hafler amps are in a separate room from the speakers as their cooling fans were noisily running flat out.
