They probably should be placed on a stand, but they are really heavy (>40 lb ea). Anyway, they are currently in my parents place, not mine, so I don't really care. Sadly, the Aerogel woofers, which sound great, are practically impossible to find nowadays. Actually, I guess both Audax and Focal stopped selling OEM drivers, which is a shame for DIYers.
