I was wondering if people had suggestions on floor standing speakers for a large space, a great room ~30' x 50'. The primary living/listening area will be ~ 30' X 30'. I will be using a McIntosh C2300 with a MC452 to drive the speakers. My price range is 5,000 to 8,000. They do not have to be new speakers. I am trying to line up 2 or 3 models for a listen and need help narrowing down the field. Thanks in advance!

There's a guy asking a question about speakers and is considering the Legacy Classic HD over in another thread in the Entry Level. If you have experience with these speakers then you might have some insight into how they perform with tube gear. In particular, do you know if their 4 ohm rating is benign or are they difficult to drive?

2 x 12" subs and 95.4dB. Seems like it might be able to fill the room!
