Without knowing much about the price levels in the US, or the alternatives, I'd say it sounds good!
The Rega RS5 lists for $1595 in the US so if they are new and $1100 US that is a pretty good price. The Rega RS5 has been well received, however its sound may be a little reserved to some, while others will like its uncolored approach. The Naim UnitiQute looks like an elegant solution, but I haven't seen or heard it. I doubt you would find its features in a cheaper unit. While the RS5s are not super sensitive at 89dB/2.83v/1m, 30 wpc should still be adequate unless you have a cavernous room.
Great thinking. This would be nice.
If you provide an idea of what type of sound you prefer, what features you must have, etc. you may receive additional suggestions. There are a couple of people here with amazing understanding of high value components who are very generous with their knowledge.
How about Naim in general? The people that I was talking to really seemed to like this brand. And lead me to believe that it was a pretty well received brand in general.
The UnitiQute I mentioned above is a cut down version of the Naim Uniti, which you may have heard of. However it doesn't have a cd player and doesn't come out for another month or two if everything goes to schedule.
The Naim brand is very much appreciated in Europe, and the buyers almost never return to other brands. From what I've heard it does a more than decent job for the money.
