Sounds like a sweet system.

Since you have both phono stages, which one do you like better?

For speakers, an idea of budget, listening habits (loud), and musical tastes would be helpful, as would any preference on floor standing vs. bookshelf/stand-mount. (If you're moving and are unsure, buy used and sell it if it doesn't work out.)

The Sphinx will be here late next week so I'm trying to figure out if I keep the Vincent or go ahead and return it. Unfortunately it will be too late to return it by the time the Sphinx arrives. No speakers yet so this system has yet to even fire up! Very excited to get it all here though and get it going!

Based on the reviews, the Vincent seems like a great piece. If keeping it still leaves with you the speaker option you want, enjoy.

As for speakers, there's a list of usual suspects to consider. But the coupling of speaker and amp is very important. So I'd suggesting bringing your amp into a local dealer and sampling a few choices before you buy.

* B&W
* PSB
* KEF
* Monitor Audio
* Dynaudio
* Dali
* Wharfdale
* Revel
* Spendor
* Vandersteen
* Tannoy
* Proac (sound very sweet with tubes)

are all great options. I just heard a $1500 Rega floor-stander that definitely blew my socks off - if it was behind a veil I never would have guessed its modest size and price.
