Finally, an attractive room treatment

Here's a company making a wingback chair.

Looks like it could deal with first reflections. As it is a brand new company, they just might be open to customizing by adding super-sound-absorbent material in the wings?

That's the idea but I think that material/leather is going to "deal" with reflections in a less than desireable manner.

It would deal with first reflections only if you had one for each speaker to sit in.

It's amazing how some well stuffed furniture will tame a room. I doubt that wing chair would do it all by itself, but it'd be interesting to sit it in the sweet spot and listen. It might be like cupping your hands around your ears, focusing the sound and shielding some side reflections.

I didn't see the price, but I bet we're talking big bucks.

I can't see how since it looks to be made of reflective material. Also, that page is suspiciously devoid of any actual content, though they have the audiophile flowery prose down pretty well.

I saw this chair in the Globe and Mail. It was described as leather.
