The Fallacy of Leadership in a Liberal Think Tank

No matter what the guy states without a teleprompter he will always end up apologizing to a group of his supporters. This time it is the poor saps associated with the Special Olympics.

The athletic-minded president made an offhand remark Thursday on "The Tonight Show" comparing his weak bowling to "the Special Olympics or something." He quickly apologized and told the Special Olympics chairman he wants to have some of its athletes visit the White House to bowl or play basketball.

I wonder if 4,000 Special Olympians have died since his gaffe.

Maybe he could just go around the world standing under "Mission Accomplished" banners wearing a flight suit and be more 'leaderly.' He could even go bowling in it and when he broke 30, baloons would fall from the ceiling and the "Mission Accomplished" banner would be unfurled. He could bowl a 36 and declare victory!

Oh!

Perhaps he could arrange for capturing a Canadian non-Special Olympian and sending him abroad to be tortured?

Yeah!

Truly a gap in leadership.

Or, he could show true leadership skills and just refuse to apologize and say it's because he's the decider, who decides things, and he decided he bowls like retard and that's what he decided.

We'll see. Tomorrow he will be apologizing to some women's league or "organized labor" group. The next day it will be Planned Parenthood and the Italian Anti-Defamation League. And on and on and on.

A new Olympic demonstration sport should be set up, though, for the occasion: Waterboarding. Hell of a lot tougher than Snowboarding for sure.

Can I add an event to that? Performing a frontal lobotomy on a neo-con without anesthetic for the Ludwig von Mises gold medal.

i thought it was funny as hell. he can try to say he meant something else all he wanted, but the intent was clear. best to have the chutzpah to just say so.

one of my favorite songs is "taking retards to the zoo"by the dead milkmen.

I don't care as long as he never apologizes to Rush Limbaugh.

Rush should be apologizing to him or anyone else he has slandered. But to give credit where credit is due Rush does have enough resources to make sure he doesn't need to apologize. Generally speaking, his facts are usually correct. If there not, someone will call him on it and he'll cry uncle. BTW, Rush did his fair share of slamming GWB for acting like a pussy most of the time.

Ah, the 'But Bush' counter argument produced whenever something really stupid is done by The Anointed One...Amusing but of no consequence as it does not change anything. Obama DID say something really stupid, again...

Yeah, and how 'bout that Truman getting 30,000 men and women killed in less than three years. Last I heard we're still under a cease-fire with N. Korea. Thank you Jimmy Carter.....
