Esoteric Audio's Grand Opening in Arizona, Saturday

High-end retailer Esoteric Audio (111 West Monroe Street, Suite 100, Phoenix) has been a fixture on the Arizona audiophile scene for more than 30 years, since it was founded in 1982 by Gary and Pam Hjerpe. Gary and Pam have handed over the reins of Esoteric to a new owner, Andrew Papanikolas, who is holding a Grand Opening Event on Saturday, February 27, from 1–7pm. "Experience hors d'oeuvres, international wine and craft beer tastings, and a return to music the way it was meant to be enjoyed: in the company of friends," says Andrew.

Taking part will be: Jim White of Aesthetix, presenting his new Saturn Eclipse series of amplifiers, preamps and digital sources; Rich Maez of Boulder Amplifiers, who will be exhibiting the new 2120 DAC along with the 2160 power amplifier, 2110 preamplifier, and 865 integrated amplifier; John Quick of dCS, demonstrating the new Rossini Player and Clock and revealing major upgrades to the Vivaldi; Garth Leerer of Musical Surroundings, who will be spinning vinyl on a range of Clearaudio tables including the Innovation Compact (equipped with a few surprises); and Jon Zimmer of Transparent Audio, who will be showcasing Transparent's newest power products and previewing the company's first Ethernet cable. Andy Payor of Rockport Technologies cannot attend in person but will appear in spirit with a pair of the stunning Cygnus loudspeakers.

There will also be a raffle, with several prizes including a Naim mu-so Qb (to be delivered on March 3, which is the worldwide launch day). RSVP on Esoteric's website.
