Watts, amps for mere mortals, 100k turntable, DSD, MF - golden ears, can't hear a miswired cd player, says vynil sounds better! Today's cars are better, digital is better. Snake oil, overpriced cables.

Sigh... I miss dup. I wish I had his e-mail so that I could at least write and express my support

Alex, be careful what you wish for...

Now, I don't care whether DUP is banned or not. If he strikes my flint, I'll simply swing back (in honor of DUP, not one, but two bad metaphors...and mixed, at that).

But there is no denying the bad logic and bad tactics.

If you can't hear it, it still may exist -- there may be many who can (not just Michael Fremer).

If you can't express an opinion without slamming those who think otherwise, money spent on a good shrink just might be money well spent.

Alex, if you are a fan, cyberspace is, as yet, unfilled. By all means, wing one to DUP and start your own forum. As a seasoned speculator, I can only say, "Let the market decide."

I have a hunch concerning what the decision will be, but, you never know. Give it a try -- what's to lose? After all, we have Skymall vs. Skymaul. You and DUP could become the anti- Stereophile. It is, after all, a free country.

Good luck.

I'm not anti-stereophile. I'm a reformist. I want to see certain reforms take place within the high end market place and the magazine. I have no wish for either the industry nor the magazine to meet its doom.

As much as I enjoy Stereophile there is probably room for another mag:

The Absolute DUP.

The mag will only review AVA, Legacy and Digital playback devices not costing over 2,000.00.

Cables costing more than bluejeans cable will be subjected to ridicule.

Cable and PCord reviews are limited to quality of construction only.

These rules can be altered at any time to suit the opinions of the DUP, the editor in chief.

I am seeking investors for this enterprise and accept paypal cash or Paypal CC with a 5% add on. Please note the minimum contribution statrs at 10,000.00 but will include an email upgrade to your system that is gauranteed to be better than the MachinaDynamic teleportation tweek. (although no money back)

Be the 1st in your group to invest in this highly profitable (for me ) enterprise.

Endorsements:

Teh best ting since teh invention o watts, no snake oil here, totally digital investment, no 20th cent. vinly
DUP

Why yes, of course he is since with each subscription you get complete at home service - the magazine will not only be delivered to your home but will even be installed, either right onto your coffee table or into your magazine rack. After all at that price one can only expect a magazine that goes the extra mile.

However, you could save some money by reading the magazine while in a store or going to one's local library and photo copying the articles that one needs but then you'll not be able to enjoy all the many subscriber benefits, such as the in-home set up described above or the ability the read the magazine in one's bathroom while seated on one's private throne. IMHO, well worth the extra high subscription price.

Not to mention the fact that I will be forever tarnished by being labeled as immoral, unethical, thieving, high end murderer by other subscribers. I will be shunned at parties and I will be treated like a pariah at my local barnes and noble.

This social stigma will drive me to drink and abuse pain killers, which will in turn cause other subscribers to call me an alcoholic and an addict, which will in turn lead me to suicide, which in turn will cause other subscribers to label me as emotionally unstable, thus proclaiming that this explains everything.

So guys- WHICH one is he refering to? It's questions like this that keep one from doing anything productive in the morning. Google DUP and you will find many interesting possibilities, but I like these from wikipedia...

"DUP
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
DUP may refer to:

Dances of Universal Peace, an international dancing singing movement
Daughters of Utah Pioneers, a women's organization
Democratic Unionist Party, the larger of the two main unionist political parties in Northern Ireland
Democratic Unionist Party (Sudan), the oldest political party in Sudan
Duke University Press, a book publisher"

I think it's the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. I can see that.
