yeah, I noticed that too, and it sort of begs for a further follow-up in the magazine.

I guess Amplifiers must degrade proportional to how far they are from halloween So Amplifiers are worst in March - April time when they'll really begin to suck.

New specification in the list then...

Halloween Tolerances +- 20%
