Welcome!
This looks like a perfect task for Head-Fi.Org
Welcome to the forum!
Look into the Adcom amps. The older Adcom GFA 555 (200w/ch) power amps are Fantastic! The 100w and 50w are no different. A little known fact is that amplifier genius Nelson Pass of Pass Labs helped engineer this amp in 1987.
It retailed for $750 new. You can find one as little as $250 these days. I have owned one since 1987 and have only had to replace the on/off switch.

I suggest Marantz PM5004 or PM5003 or Yamaha RX497 or Nad has some dandy stuff for the price.
I've owned this model and it's a killer sounding amp
Could someone please explain what on earth 'orthodynamic earphones' are and why they appear to be so inefficient? Thanks .
I'm getting this one in a few days: consonance a120 linear
i'll tell you about it...
They incorporate planer drivers (think Magnapan) rather than moving coil.
They were semi-popular in the early '80's and possess a sound some adore.
