Dealer Events in Manhattan & Denver, Thursday March 19

This coming Thursday is a big day for audiophiles, with Stereo Exchange and Sound By Singer promoting events in New York and Apex Audio on in Denver.

From 12–7pm, Stereo Exchange (627 Broadway, Manhattan) will host its 2nd Annual Headphone Event, featuring a wide array of portable audio products from many respected and innovative brands: Auralic, AudioQuest, Astell&Kern, Audeze, Beyerdynamic, Bowers & Wilkins, Chord, Focal, Grado Labs, HiFiMan, Master & Dynamic, McIntosh Labs, NAD, PSB, Sennheiser, Sonos, Tidal, V-Moda, and more. In Denver, from 10am–8pm, Apex Audio (1320 Race Street, —it is unmarked so look for the big yellow historic building) will be presenting the Rocky Mountain debut of the $250,000 Naim Statement electronics system (top right); part of an exclusive five-city tour across North America.

Back in New York, from 6pm–9pm, Sound By Singer (242 West 27 Street, 2nd floor, Manhattan), is presenting what they describe as "An essential analog experience for vinyl lovers only !" Zanden will be demonstrating the sonic improvements to be heard when the playback equalization curve is optimized, using the Zanden Model 120 phono stage (below), in a system based on Zanden's Model 3100 preamplifier and 8100 amplifier.

Imagine my surprise when I made the trek to Stereo Exchange this afternoon specifically to see and hear the Nighthawk and it was (is) a no show!!
