I don't know of many, or any large volume manufacturers that have achieved a zero percent defect rate, but it seems that either Classe has a relatively high defect rate, and/or you've experienced extremely bad luck in receiving multiple defective products.

Manufacturers can, and do put effort into eliminating defects, but more elaborate measures cost the manufacturers more money, and we know who ultimately pays for that. In my experience, a lot of manufacturing process quality measures are often statistically based, and are more an attempt to minimize defects to an acceptable (hopefully minute) level, but defects can get through the system once in a while. It's just a reality, even with expensive products.

There is normally a significant difference in how manufacturing quality is approached when lives could be affected, say in building medical equipment, or commercial aircraft (my background) versus consumer electronics. Elaborate quality systems can, and are put in place when justified, but as I mentioned, there is cost involved. Maybe that's part of the reason I can't afford an airliner, haha

What action can you take besides getting defective items replaced, or getting your money back and trying something else? It should be your decision to get replacement/repair and stick with Classe if that's the equipment you want, or try another product or brand if you have something in mind.

I am very sympathetic to your bad experience with Classe. It is a very frustrating thing to have to go through. At least nobody died. Another thing I don't like to think about is that while the product cost to the consumer can seem very high, the actual manufacturing costs are usually much lower, and even then every effort is made to lower them even more.

BTW, I don't know what you mean by compensation from Classe, but good luck with whatever it is.
