AudioLab 8200MB, what's not to like?

Teddy Pardo 100MB, not enough for the Magnepan 3.7 and a big room.

NuForce 9 V2 SE, not as good as many A/B and ICE amps out there for less money.

Plinius SA 100 MK3, just enough oomph for the 3.7s, but will double as a space heater.

Of course the Ayre MX-R monobblocks are far better-sounding than any of those, if you can afford them.

The Mark Levinson 532H would be my second choice, after the Ayres.

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for the best monoblock amplifiers to best suit my current and future needs.

I'm Currently using Morel Octave Signature speakers (with the addon subwoofers) - they are  a little hard to drive as they are 4 ohm speakers with 88db..

I'll be moving to a new bigger house in a year or so and i'm planning on a pair of magnapan 3.7..

now, i've searched out local second-hand market and found the folowing amps at my price range:

1. a pair of AudioLab 8200MB (which are supposed to be a somewhat copy of the late Tag Mclaren 250)

2. a pair of Teddy Pardo 100MB / 120MB (wil the have enough power for my speakers)

3. a pair of NuForce 9 v2 se

4. pilinius sa 100 mk3 (stereo - class a)

what do you think of them ?  which will be the best for my current needs ? future needs ?

thanks !

Thanks Jackfish, yoiu summed it all up and made it pretty simple to choose.

I went to hear the AudioLabs and bought them immediately - a lot of value for such a small price. very recommended !!
