Hi all,
I'm trying to decide between a receiver and an integrated amp. I have a pair of B&W 683's that I use for music (fed by lossless local tracks via sonos), and TV (fed by bluray, apple TV and DirecTV).

I know that an Integrated amp is better built than a receiver, however if I decide to stay 2ch for TV watching, is there a downside to using an Integrated amp as it won't be able to switch the HDMI sources. Is it just a matter of feeding the audio from the video sources into the Integrated amp, which would switch the audio from all
sources, (sonos,ATV,DTV and bluray), and use the TV to switch the HDMI.

(I've been looking at Rotel for the integrated amp, and a marantz SR6008 as the receiver)

Thanks
Derek

I suggest that you get the Cambridge Audio CXR120 receiver, which should be all you want. It will be able to do everything and the sound quality is very good (unlike most AVRs).
