Channel Island Amps w/Vandersteen?

Is anyone using Channel Island power amps with Vandersteen speakers? Or heard such a combination?

I've got pre-Signature 2 Ce speakers and am wondering if D-100 amps would be a good match for them. Or if D-200s would be more appropriate.

Thanks in advance.

Andy

100 watts per speaker is entirely adequate for the Vandersteen 2Ce (sensitivity-86dB/W/m), unless you have a very large room. But of course many people aspouse more power is better for improved dynamics.

Jackfish, you are on a streak of great posts!

What Jackfish says seems perfect to me.

To maybe miss the mark a little, I've heard the Channel islands amps with Von Schweikert speakers and was amazed at how great they sounded. (I think the Von Schweikert speakers remind me alot of Vandersteens.)

Anyway, I agree with Jackfish about the dynamic benefits of the D-200.
