Tuners normally have analog outputs, which can be connected directly into your powered monitors.
You can use a stereo audio switch box to switch between the tuner outputs and your Vega DAC outputs (and a couple of other sources if desired).
Get the Cables To Go #28750 Audio Switch Box, which is $19 from Amazon. It has 4 sets of inputs, which will allow you to switch between up to 4 stereo audio sources with the switch box outputs connected to your powered speakers, just by pushing a selector button (it also has video jacks, which you will ignore and not use).
I suggest that you consider getting the Grace Digital Solo Internet Tuner, which is pre-programmed with over 10,000 stations, including your local ones. You can select stations by country, region, musical genre (or talk or news etc.) and other lists. It can be hard-wired to your modem or will connect by wi-fi if you have a router. Amazon, Wal-Mart, and Target sell it (among others).
It only costs $120 or so, and is a wonderful gizmo. It has its own screen and you can preset 10 stations on it. I love mine; I listen mostly to classical from Boston and Minnesota and New York, but there is an endless variety of music from all over the world.
Good suggestions, thanks, and that switcher could work if I were using RCA outputs rather than XLR balanced cables between DAC and monitors. And this Internet Tuner sounds nice.
Still, though, I wonder about whether there's a good way to run an over-air FM radio signal through the DAC/Digital Processor, and traditional FM radio receivers that work well in this configuration.
