Hi I am having an issue with my audio cutting out quickly when I turn lights on or off. Most specifically when I adjust the electric heating that may cable runs by.
I am using a SB audigy 2 card to send audio via the digital out on the card to my pionerr vsx33.the run is about 20 ft.
I tried to connect this with my sub cable which is a directional monster cable but it would not work. I am now looking a buying a new cable as I am thinking that may be the issue?
Any help? what kind of cable should I be using?

Check other sources, both digital and analog. Is the digital sound from the computer the only source that does that? If so it MAY be a cable that isn't properly shielded. If other sources are doing it the problem is elsewhere. Like maybe a bad electrical ground.

Yup It was the cable. Problem solved, wish I never spent 150 bucks on a line conditioner. O well
