This will provide connectivity to whatever receiver you end up with. http://www.amazon.com/BlueRigger-3-5mm-Stereo-Audio-Cable/dp/B008UG6GCC/ref=sr_1_7?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1386130683&sr=1-7&keywords=rca+mp3+cable
I suggest that you get the Harman-Kardon 3490 stereo receiver.
It has the tuner, the phono preamp built in, a DAC so it can accept either digital or analog inputs, and plenty of power to run any speakers.
It also has better sound quality than most other units in the under-$500 price range.]
It will also get XM satellite radio (antenna optional); subscription required.
They also have an Iphone dock that goes with it for a few bucks extra.
