I want to biamp my speakers. My pre-amp only has one pair of line output terminals. Can I just use a simple Y-splitter cable to split the signal between the two amps, or will that degrade the signal?

Unless there's a substantial difference in input impedance between the two amps you are connecting, that will do just fine.
