Best quality sound for portable CD players

Am doing some research for my boss and he wants me to find out the best PORTABLE CD player on the market. Am hoping for some feedback. Thank you

Portable CDPs are obsolete technology like 8-track players.

Take a look at the iBasso DX100 portable audio player.

Use EAC (Exact Audio Copy) to extract the digital music data from the CDs, transcode to FLAC (Free Lossless Audio CODEC), and store the files on 32GB MicroSD cards.
